With no firmly established time line for future publication, Ted Rafuse
is currently working on several book projects.
First of these is tentatively titled Destiny Derailed: A History of
Cobourg's Railroads 1833-1893. The manuscript for this volume is largely
completed but researching details and images continue.
A second concurrent project is a history of the Port Hope Lindsay &
Beaverton Railway (1855-1869) which subsequently became the Midland
Railway of Canada (1870-1884). The MRC was absorbed into the Grand Trunk
Railway in 1884. The GTR was absorbed by the Canadian National Railways
in 1923. The original PHL&B line endured into the diesel era but
today is largely abandoned.
The third project under consideration is a history of the Kingston &
Pembroke Railway. Some initial research into this topic has occurred
but much more material must be considered prior to future publication.

the above projects please follow the link to the C&P,
